AOL “Forgot” to Tell Subscribers of Free Service

Filed under: Random Babbling — ianbell @ 10:17 am

Are you an AOL subscriber that thinks you now get their service for free? Think Again. Boston.com is reporting that AOL somehow forgot to tell their existing subscribers that they can now get the AOL service for free. Obviously they did not really “forget” to tell their customers. But why turn away free money? Now they can earn money from their subscribers AND make money off of advertising.

“Apparently you have to ask for free service or they’ll keep billing you,” said Harriet Rantoul-Hazard of Dartmouth, who has a broadband connection and an AOL subscription. “Who knew?”

You probably know my thoughts on this, what are yours?
