I justed finished my review of this wonderful monitor. I wish I had a need for a new LCD so I could justify picking one up. Gateway really shot themselves in the foot with a couple things however. First of all they should have included a DVI cable. Secondly they really screwed the consumer with a 1-year warranty standard. No one wants to pay an extra $30 dollars to get a 3-year warranty which they should have gotten in the first place.
But if you do the math, you would be paying $664 for this monitor with a 3-year warranty and a DVI cable; thats still in the same ballpark as HP or Samsung’s monitors, so its still a competitve price.
In any case, this is a sweet monitor, definately geared towards media buffs and those that want an HDTV feed going to their office. I highly recommend checking it out. Just makes sure to pay for the extra warranty - just to be safe.
